How do you assess the interpreter's language skills?
All interpreters are interviewed by a member of Language Finders in order to check and assess the interpreter’s standards of fluency and overall competence.
Interpreters must also have a degree level qualification and have experience working as an interpreter – we always demand and check references.
If an English native wishes to work for us we conduct an extensive interview at which a native of the relevant country in which the candidate claims fluency is present.
We continuously receive feedback from our clients regarding all our interpreters’ abilities.
Our translators must provide evidence of translation work they have carried out previously.
We can have translations proof-read if necessary.
Our recruitment process is very thorough and it normally takes around 6 weeks for a new interpreter to be welcomed onto our database. We do not put “CV’s on the system” as and when somebody wants to work for us.
